Last night was so much fun. The only thing it was missing was Sherri, but she had to work late, awww. Ashley and I had been talking about going to Orlando to pass out flyers for the upcoming One Night Stan shows and pretty much decided that Wednesday was it for us. It just so happened that Gote and James got out of work at about the same time, so we picked them up to take with us. Dougie also came with us, since he lives nearish Gote and was easy enough to pick up as well. First we went to the Florida Mall to paper the bathrooms with flyers. While there we had the great tour of the food court where we received no less six samples from various booths, all of which were chicken. ^_^;;; I ended up with mushroom chicken, James a burrito, and Gote and Ashley got free Mexican food because Gote played the server a song on his ukulele. Oh yeah, I forgot. Gote brought his ukulele, and played in the car and wandering around the mall. Who needs an Ipod when you've got a Gote?? ^_^After that we went to the Collesium Comics on Orange Blossom Trail, which was like going to Elainie heaven. Ooooh, that new comics smell is just fantastic. They had everything, and if I had been able to, I could have spent several hundred dollars there, easily. As it was, James was the only one that made a purchase, but we got to leave a bunch of flyers by the door, so some of our purpose was met. Then we went to Downtown Disney, but the rain started getting ridiculously heavy at about that point. We went to a few stores, but after each place we went, the rain got harder and harder. After the candy shop, Ashley and I danced in the rain for a bit, and Doug joined in. The other guys tried to stay dry, but it was a moot point. After we finally left the House of Blues outdoor bar, the rain was falling with the pressure of a shower head, and I was wading through water up over my ankles. We then retreated to Gote's house to try to dry off. I had a spare shirt and shoes, James had his work shirt, and Ashley and Gote wore some of Gote's dry clothes. Poor Doug was the only one who had no fresh clothing to change into. Poor Puppypie. While there, though, we played rousing games of Guitar Hero and watched Gote's self-made movies of awesomeness. It Came From The Crapper changed my life. ^_^It was fun to see Doug two days in a row. He came to Open Mic night, so we got to have dinner at Sapporo's, watch the show, and even hang out a little before the festivities. It was a sort of quiet night at Open Mic, I guess since Gote was late, but satisfying as always. It amazes me how he never seems to tire of preforming. We all went to his show in Casselberry last Saturday where he played rather enthusiastically with his band, and there is another One Night Stan show this weekend. Still, he brings along his ukulele to entertain us yesterday! ^_^ It's so cool to see a person truly enjoy their craft so much. I talked to Jenny today, and she's coming up to see me Sunday through Wednesday. That's going to be sooooooo great! She's going to get to come to Open Mic! Yaaaaaaaay! Then, if clinic allows, I'm leaving Thursday for WV so I can see people before my big New England trip. If not, I'll have to leave Friday. I need to call Theresa and see when/if I can see her and the baby. This trip up north is going to be a total whirlwind thing. Pittsburgh from the night of the 16th through the morning of the 19th, Boston the next day, a few days of Maine, then back to Boston and possibly Rhode Island, then back to Pittsburgh on the 25th. The two days of Columbus with Katrina, then two days of Pittsburgh with Katrina, then back to WV to possibly visit Daniel, then back to Florida. I'll be on the move the entire trip. That's about par for the course for me, but it's going to be something. And two weeks without my Dougie, aww.
