One of the most popular genres of Greek music is a modern laika that was formed under the influence of Western music on traditional Greek folk music. Many contemporary singers work with this genre. Indeed, it made Greek music popular all over the world. One of the representatives of this music style is Gakis Nikos  who has recently released his album “I Agapi Mou Gia Sena” .

I wouldn’t say that it is the best Greek album of the year, and I would not buy essays online and essay writing about it if I had to write about Greek music. However, several songs from the album are worth attention, for example, the main song of the album “I Agapi Mou Gia Sena”. The music is very tender and calming. Regardless of the fact that the majority of songs from this album are performed in modern laika style, I think that this song features the elements of the contemporary laika, thought, I cannot say for sure which one, either zeibekiko and hasaposerviko or kalamatianos and syrtaki.

Gakis Nikos is not a well known singer outside Greece. But his songs can be easily found on YouTube, however, there are not many of them. To listen to the album, I had to buy it on the Internet. Actually, I did not regret it, as music is quite fine and I like to listen to it when jogging or just relaxing after a hard day in my favorite arm-chair in front of the fireplace.
